Is it extra to come into my home?
The mileage and fuel surcharge are built into the cost of your groom—no hidden fees, no surprises. We talk pricing upfront before the appointment starts, so you know exactly what to expect.
Why house call grooming?
Stress-Free Grooming: Your pup stays in the comfort of home—no car rides, no cages, no noisy salons. Just a peaceful, one-on-one experience with the groomer, where your dog gets undivided attention in a familiar space. Less anxiety, more tail wags!
Do you operate from a truck, trailer, or mobile van?
I don’t have a mobile van—yet! But I do house call grooming, meaning I bring my table and tools straight to you and set up in any room you choose. You’ll just need to provide water, electricity, and drainage for grey water. Easy, stress-free grooming for your pup!
When should my puppy get its first groom?
Get your puppy used to grooming early—right after their first set of shots, around 12-16 weeks or 4 months old. If you bathe them at home, always brush before and after (once dry) to prevent matting. Waiting until 6 months or older makes it harder for the groomer to build trust, so start early! For their first visit, always book a bath and trim—save the full haircut for later visits.
How often does my dog need grooming?
Most dogs need regular trims to keep their coat healthy and mat-free. A short cut can last 2-3 months, but if your pup’s fur is longer than an inch, grooming every 4-6 weeks helps prevent tangles.
Hair growth varies—some dogs regrow their coat fast, others more slowly. If we set a schedule and need to tweak it, just let me know! We can adjust visits to be more frequent or spaced out as needed. Keeping your pup looking and feeling their best is the goal!
Matting: The Sneaky Fur Monster!
Tangles turn into tight, stubborn knots that trap dirt, moisture, and even little surprises like burrs or sticks. Left unchecked, mats can cause irritation, sores, and even block circulation! Keep your pup comfy—regular brushing is the secret weapon against the mat monster!

About The Owner

Worked as Veterinary Technician (Degree) and Pet Groomer
At Karma Canis, our mission is to nurture every dog’s body and spirit through compassionate, holistic grooming. With over a decade of experience—both as a vet tech and a professional groomer—I bring full-service care directly to your pet’s home, creating a calm, one-on-one experience that keeps them healthy, comfortable, and happy.
My passion for animals started young—I was the kid bringing stray dogs home, knowing they deserved kindness and care. That love led me to veterinary work and, eventually, to Karma Canis, where I offer grooming in a cage-free, familiar setting that helps dogs feel safe and relaxed.
More than just a trim, my services include careful checks of ears, eyes, nails, and skin, addressing concerns like painful matting, parasites, and other health issues with expertise and gentle attention.
